Meet JOHN GERGES
John Gerges is a Toronto-based walking tour guide known for transforming casual strolls into immersive cultural experiences. Based in the Queen West neighborhood, he has built a reputation for blending history, street art, food culture, and human stories into tours that feel personal, cinematic, and constantly evolving.

John did not originally set out to become a tour guide. After school, he worked briefly in event coordination and later at a local media company producing short-form videos about city culture. Friends repeatedly encouraged him to turn his encyclopedic Toronto knowledge into something more tangible.

In 2016, he launched his own walking tour brand with a clear focus: highlight the parts of the city tourists rarely discover on their own. His routes include hidden laneway murals, community gardens tucked behind storefronts, family-run vintage shops, and temporary art installations that sometimes appear overnight.
